Transit Police and Portland East Precinct team up for mission

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Transit Police Division collaborated with Portland Police Bureau on an effort to address public drug abuse in the Hazelwood Neighborhood.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Portland Police Bureau's East Precinct and East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team combined efforts with Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Transit Police Division targeting open drug use, specifically the suppliers, in the areas of East Burnside Street at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast 148th Avenue, as well as the Gateway Transit Center at Northeast 99th Avenue and Northeast Pacific Street.
The combined results are impressive given the small team footprint:

2- Felony Warrants
17 - Misdemeanor Warrants
19- Vehicle Stops
28 - Subject Stops
1 - Vehicle Towed
1 - Recovered Stolen Bike ($2k value)
Drugs Seized:
1,444 grams - Fentanyl
33 grams - Heroin
1000 - Blue Fentanyl Pills
