On Thursday, May 9, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies responded to Mt. Hood Medical Center where a critically injured person arrived for medical treatment after being shot.  

Deputies learned that the shooting victim was driving with a passenger in the area of SW 257th Drive and SW 26th Street in Troutdale when an argument occurred between them and an unknown man. The unknown man was walking along 257th Drive. He produced a firearm and shot at the victim’s vehicle multiple times.  

The victim was struck in the head at least one time.  Despite being critically injured, the victim was able to quickly get to the hospital with the assistance of his passenger.
