The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) values its connection with the community and takes its responsibility to listen seriously. Policies and procedures guide everything the MCSO does, from law enforcement to corrections to business. Policies set the rules and goals for how the agency serves the public, while procedures explain step-by-step how tasks should be completed.

The MCSO is inviting the public to give feedback on some new policy drafts. During a 30-day period called the Stakeholder Review, anyone can share their thoughts or suggestions about the proposed policies. Keep in mind, any comments shared will become part of the public record.
